Grignolino 2022

Grignolino is a native grape variety from Piedmont which I am very fond of. I used to be dismissive of importers who only focus on the very well-known grape varieties and wine growing areas. Today, I merely feel sorry for the general public, and it gives me an extra impetus to show exciting local varieties such as Grignolino. This grape is another cousin of Nebbiolo with an elegant body and slightly less noble tannins, with the added thrill of medicine cabinet/Alpine herbal notes.
