Grape variety: Greco

Greco 'Adam' is an orange wine with an honest and territorial profile, the result of spontaneous vinification with maceration on the skins for 4 days and aging in used barrels for at least one year. It is Mediterranean and unique, with aromas of citrus peel, honey, light volatile notes, iodine and mineral notes. The sip is disturbing, rich and very distinctive, with a salty system and great tension that brings a lively freshness. An artisan wine

Cantina Giardino's Greco "Adam" is a vital, sunny and full-bodied liquid, a masterful interpretation of a legendary winery in the world of craft wines. Cantina Giardino is a reality that has been permanently etched in the hearts of enthusiasts for nearly 20 years thanks to its ability to describe the region in an intimate and engaging way. The project was born out of the shared passion of a group of friends, led by Antonio Di Gruttila, who decided to take over several hectares of vineyards in Ariano Irpino and acquire old vines of local indigenous varieties such as Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Coda di Volpe and Falanghina, the last of which was recently added. The stylistic code of the cellar reflects a non-invasiveness both in the vineyard and in the cellar, a return of spontaneous, dynamic fluidity and imbued with an energetic fierceness. Milestones.

The white "Adam" is obtained from pure Greco grapes from vineyards located near Ariano Irpino. The vineyard is approached in a non-interventionist way, to say the least, and with respect for the vitality of the plants and the soil, so no chemical or synthetic substances are used. In the cellar, the same process continues, so all alcoholic fermentations are spontaneous and, in the case of Adam, a four-day maceration on the skins is practised. Finally, it is aged for 12 months in barrels after a second passage and does not undergo clarification or filtration before bottling.

In the glass, the 'Adam' wine presents itself with a golden-yellow dress lined with orange highlights. Warm and deep aromas that open up with references to citrus zest, acacia honey, Mediterranean scrub and wild herbs after a light volatile incipit. The sip is rhythmic and energetic, enlivened by acidity and a salty pull, the latter also functional in drawing out the persistence of the liquid that lingers long in the heritage.

Evaluator.
