Villa Pacina 2016

Grape variety: Sangiovese

They have been producing this wine only in the vintages in which it was possible to delay the harvest of selected grapes, especially in the vineyards facing west. In this way the Sangiovese tannins can reach a greater evolution. 

The wine stays for two years in cement tanks and then, at least six months in bottle before the release. The wine is not filtered and they do not add sulfites. 

Vineyard: 1.8 hectares of 17 and 45 years

Soil: Tufo di Siena (Sand-Clay)

Production: 40 ql grapes per hectare

Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation without selected yeast and Malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. Wine without clarification and filtration. No Sulphites added.

Aging: 12 months in concrete tanks. Six months refining in bottle before the sale.
