Grape varieties: Schiava/Vernatsch
Campill from Pranzegg is a fresh, vinous and highly elegant red wine. As Martin defines it, she is a "liberated slave", a subtle, fine and straightforward wine that gives taste and full dignity to a variety that has been violated and mistreated by the South Tyrolean territory.
When you find yourself with dry bread in the kitchen, it's time to try your hand at making dumplings. With speck, spinach or beetroot, mushrooms or cheese, canederli/dumplings are always delicious, even if only seasoned with a little melted butter and chives. And if you serve them with a bottle of Campill, you may reach nirvana.
