Rosso di Montepulciano from the Tuscan winery Poderi Sanguineto is a balanced and easy to drink label. Produced from Sangiovese grapes (locally called Prugnolo Gentile), Canaiolo Nero and Mammolo, it is fermented by indigenous yeasts and then aged for a year in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels of various capacities. With aromas reminiscent of plum and cherry, it easily combines with the typical cold cuts of the area.
