Montepulciano Cerasuolo Tauma 2018

Grape varieties: Montepulciano

From Montepulciano grapes. Maturation in exhausted wooden barrels. Bottling without filtration or clarification. Slightly veiled cherry red and very nuanced with orange reflections. After a slightly rustic impact, it alternates notes of orange powder and camphor. The palate is in correspondence, medium-bodied, dry and reactive almost as much as a white wine, the finish very lively, savory and citrusy, with camphor, a touch of dried fruit and another of yeast. A truly excellent rosé above all thanks to the great qualities of frankness.

White vinification, without the use of selected yeasts or other additives except for a small quantity of sulfur. Unfiltered or clarified wine.

Aging 6 months in used wood and 1 month in steel, then bottle.

Although the vineyards are both in areas that fall within the DOC and the harvest yields are lower than those required by the relevant legislation, the cherry is marketed as "rosé wine" as a matter of practicality.

The name Tauma in Aramaic means twin: the two vineyards by chance have the same number of vines and Giuliano's daughters are twins.
